hello philbrick clan i am the grandaughter of the late edwin francis philbrick and the daughter of diane. Edwin had three daughters Rosemary and twins diane and edwina. Whom all had a few children mainly girls. If anyone feels they have a conection with us from the west midlands it would be great to hear from you.My grandad was born in 1908 and lived to a great age of 94 (very common in our family i hear) he was born in the south of England, Sussex/surrey i think and had a brother and his father was a religious man im told.Grandad married Winnifred and lost contact with his family. He served in the Somerset regiment and fought in the second world war where he became a prisoner, when the war was over he came to Birmingham and started a family quite late.Ive looked on the Philbrick website and discovered that the part of the country where my Grandad was born was a main source of philbricks whom a lot emergrated to America. Some of the really old photos are an uncanny resemblence to my grandad, even the females !! faye |
