Trying to find out about the parents of Laban Dale, who was born in Whitby 1804 and who died in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1859. According to the IGI, they were called Richard Dale and Rebecca Day. In the census of 1851, Laban owned a hair cutter and perfumers shop in the SIDE, near the Quayside in Newcastle. He was married to Margaret (nee Taylor) with at least 5 children: Richard William (b Newcastle 1835); Richard moved to Manchester and married a widow - Sarah (originally Worsley).
