Looking for any information on Herbert John Saunders born Stanford Le Hope, Essex 1870. He married a woman called Mary, in the early to mid 1890's Probably in London. In 1901 he was living in Lambeth, London and had three children Herbert W 6 born London, Mary E 3 born Plaistowe Essex and Eliza E 1 born Plaistowe Essex. After this i cannot find much more information. I know that in 1909 they had a daughter Lilian (my grandmother). I know that they also had a number of other childern whos' names included Alice, Rose, Jim and Reggie. Alice married a Polish emigre who was a taxi driver. In 1914 Herbert was owner of the Cock Inn near Benfleet in Essex. He died in the mid 1960's. Any information on this branch of my family would be much appriciated. Imogen Binding. |
