Trying to locate anything on the Porter family name. The earliest that I have is my grandfather, Richard Patrick or Patrick Richard Porter, born 1876 who came from Ireland around 1888 at roughly 11/12 years of age with his family. He enlisted in 1899. They apparently lived in Liverpool and my grandfather ended up in Ashford Kent I know by 1918/1919 after my Father,John Porter, was born in Farnborough, Hampshire
