I am trying to trace my late grandad. His name is Thomas Sheridan (and he is named as a mechanic on my dad's birth certificate) and he went over to live in New York, America in 1927? He met my late grandma Rose McGilligan and fathered my dad in 1928- Thomas Francis McGilligan. They never married but she went on to marry someone called Guy and have another 6 children. Don't know what happened to Thomas Sheridan after my dad was born. My dad was sent back to Ireland on his own to Garvagh when he was only 4 and his grandma and grandad brought him up. He now lives in Bolton, England. |
