Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 0 Send Message	I am trying to find out if anyone has any information about my Grandmother. She was born Rita (possibly Henrietta or Margaret) or Maria Buchan. Differing christian names are given on her marriage and children's birth certificates. She was born c1910 in the Paisley/Elderslie area. Her Mother was Margaret Turley who married George Buchan in 1910. I know my grandmother had a brother John Buchan born in 1911. George Buchan's Occupation is given as Tram Car Inspector in 1910. Margaret Turley was a millworker (We don't know when George Buchan died, but Mgt Turley Remarried twice to Michael Reilly and Arthur Halket.) Rita (Maria) married George Farquharson Lawrie in 1929 in Edinburgh and she died in Edinburgh in 1952. They had nine children. My Father,Aunts and Uncles wonder if they have any relatives. We don't know much about her background and would like to find out more about her and connect up with any of her family.
