Gladys Doloras (or Doris) Slade (nee Baker). Any history/links regarding this lady would be gratefully received. I sadly have no information to go on. Gladys was the birth mother of my grandmother (who was adopted at six weeks old)born : Jean Mary Slade (born 27/12/29) in Bournemouth. Gladys, so I am told came from the Winchester area to Bournemouth to give birth to my grandmother, it states on my grandmother birth certificate mother' s maiden name Baker. Is this true or false? This lady could have been a young single lady or a married lady - I have no idea - tracing adoption roots is proving to be very hard - any help much appreciated. |
