Jack (possibly John), married Grace Daw. They had several children. Reginald, Ivy, Harry, Lesley, Doreen, Bertram & - Kathleen (my grandmother, who was born in 1920) in the St Germans area of Cornwall. Jack had a sister called Mary (there may be other siblings) and their father was also called Jack/John and his wife was called Bessie. I believe Jack/John JNR worked in the local dockyard and was a very bright man, working on several allotments and selling his home grown produce to local people. I believe both Jack/Johns are buried in St Germans. They lived at Victor House, 3 Moorview, Torpoint until at least 1946 as my father was born there in the front bedroom. I am also led to believe that there is a connection to the Cardew Teapottery family, although I am yet to establish the connection. Any information gratefully received. |
