I have 3 Pluckwell's on my Vital Records Disc all from Kent. Mary Elizabeth 22.04.1810 daughter of Henry and Mary Chatham Kent. Henry born 1820 son of Samuel and Jane. plus another I can give you details of. Irene

Further to the last post I haven't worked out who Mary marries. Henry married the Ann Walker. What's the odds that Mary married William Walker?

I did spot that Jim. When I'm next in the LMA I shall investigate this lot.

By George, Jim is right! His wife was Elizabeth and she's on the 1841 census with daughter Emma. Address is Boon's Yard, Tottenham which is next door to their address in 1851. Margaret

Sorry Jim You are correct- I was looking at the wrong Henry. Henry (1802) married Elizabeth Parker. Henry Augustus Pluckwell (1826) (who may be their son) married an Ann.Phew. Anna

Anna, the christening of Henry James on IGI, 21 Feb1802, Holborn has parents Henry & Mary. The BVRI discs have the following children born to Henry & Mary Pluckwell in Rochester, Kent. I have looked at the image. He was born out of the county, and his occupation could well be hairdresser although not very clear. Sue

Hi all, I'm trying to trace my elusive Pluckwell relations in the 1841 census. The name is pretty rare, so I suspect noone knew how to spell it. Anyhow, in 1851 I have my ggg-grandfather, Henry James Pluckwell, a barber born c.1802 in either Rochester, Kent or Holborn. (I believe he was born in Rochester and christened in Holborn.) He is with his wife Ann (and children Frederick and Emma. He died in 1859, so in the 1861 Ann (c.1795 Ardington, Kent) is living with her son Frederick, and grandson Henry. However, I do not have details of Henry's wherabouts in the 1841. I have Ann with her daughter Emma, in the 1841, but where are Frederick (c1829, Tottenham) and Henry? I also believe Henry and Ann had another child, Henry Augustus, born c.1826 Tottenham, and maybe a daughter Mary. I anyone can find them I would be most grateful. Thanks Anna
