The marriage cert would show his residence at the time...........not necessarily any indication of where he was born............. What was the father's occupation? Reg |

my great grandmother ellen lewis wed william axford at steynton church milford haven pembrokeshire, their marriage was registered in haverfordwest, we have the marriage certifictate which states william axford was from middlesex his dad was also william axford problem is cant find the man on the 1851 cencus he was born 1842-1843 in middlesex his occupation when married was a royal naval signalman he was witness to his his childrens weddings were his occupation was mariner. any help will earn you a kiss perhaps two :o) shirl |
