Hi Tracey, Thanks ever so much for the Kind offer. Here is my problem ;- I had an uncle George Edwin CAWKWELL Born 16th August 1891 in Preston England he went to British coumbia on the SS Victorian of the Allan Line on 22nd May 1913 Details from Family bible, Nothing has been heard of him since that time until I was browsing on the internet when I found the following burial in California that he had died in Los Angeles on 19th Feb 1961. I know it was him because one of the things they wanted to know was his mothers maiden name and it was given properly as FINCH I thought at first that it wasn`t him because the D.O.B was wrong then i realised that only the year was wrong by about 10yrs. I hope I am not wasting your time Judith

Hi Tracey Information that Charles Gilbert was the son of John was in an old letter. Only information about him comes from these letters. I was curious if you could find any furthur information. John was living near his mothers sister (letter dated 1849), Ann & Henry Chapman from Holland Landing,Ontario. John is in 1871 census at Holland Landing ( I could only get Head of House & nothing about the family). Thanks Kerri

Hi OrangeBlossom, I'm going to PM you my email addy and YES PLEASE I would like the image. Francis Ralph Bothwell would be him I believe. I've managed with the help of the Masonic Lodge to find his father as a Mason and have tried to find the son's name but they've mentioned this Francis Ralph as another Mason in the same lodge as his father, so I think your right it must be him. Sorry going on a bit, just very very pleased. will PM you now. thanks again for your tremendous help, Lou

Sorry Lou. There's no birth records available. Only Marriages and Deaths. I think I found William on the censuses, if you want that info? There is no child with him though, and it could be the wrong bloke! Oh, there's a child called Ralph listed on OneWorldTree. Looks like the son of your Catherine. Will see if I can find him. Ahh - he was called Francis Ralph Bothwell, but he was born in 1917!

Hi OrangeBlossom, thanks for taking the time to look anyway. I know you said you didn't have anymore information on them than I already had, but do you have the child's first name born in 1901 as I only think he was a son and don't know for sure. If you don't it's ok, just a passing thought. Thanks again, Regards Lou

Kerri, where did you get the information that Charles was the son of John? I can't find any definite information on him. There are quite a few from Ontario, and not knowing when he was born makes it difficult to track.

There's this one... Name: Andrew W Yeadon Gender: Male Marital Status: Single Age: 15 Birth Date: Jun 1895 Birthplace: Nova Scotia No Mrs though lol Could it be him? If so, I'll post the rest of the info. As for descendants, it is very difficult. Ontario is the best covered province, and that only has Births up to c1911.

I am able, at the moment, to do lookups in the USA and Canada. Not all Canadian records are online. Only the 1901 and 1911 census are available. Please post as much information as you know, and only on this board. Thanks.
