Jackie, did she not have a son Samuel F. Roberts with Robert? He's on the 1861 census, 1 year old, born Woodstone, Huntingdonshire. Thomas F. Sharpe, aged 13 is also with them, transcribed as daughter-in-law. He was listed after Samuel who was son and they have listed him as ditto in law, so the transcriber made ir daughter in law. I suppose you know that son-in-law meant stepson in those days. Margaret

Hi June Thanks for looking these details up. I have already got the marriage and birth certs you have detailed. Basically I am trying to retrieve data previously saved on my old computer which died. A year and a half's worth of census info gone down the swanny. That'll teach me not to backup my data on a regular basis. Frances Capps Sharpe was their 3rd and final child, but sadly died in 1851.

She did remarry, but I have never been able to find a marriage cert. In later census' she is with Robert Roberts born 1806 Wissendean, Rutland. They had 2 children Robert Francis Roberts born 1860 Peterborough, Norfolk and Althea Emily Roberts born 1862 Peterborough, Norfolk. I don't think she would have been with Robert Roberts in 1851 though as her first husband William Brister Sharpe had died 02/04/1851 in Holbeach so would have assumed she would still have been living there at this time.
