Find Ancestors

I am trying to locate the marriage of Robert Henry George Young & Gladys Maud either Patterson or Pattinson (we are having a family conference over the surname...................lol. It is should be Southampton Hampshire in & around 1920 + or - a few years (as this is when there first child was born). I do understand that many people did not get married at the same time but I have searched but am unable to locate it. Any help would be great thanks. Tracey

Yes Reg I did search the records by image, but have ended up with square eyes & have tried on more than 1 occasion.....................lol. Tracey

Tracey, if birth was after 1912, then entry shold show mother's maiden name, though they did get some wrong. Please confirm name and date for reference. Thanks Jim

Have checked 1913 to 1928 under Young without success. Do you have Robert's or Gladys' date of birth, as these would limit earliest date? Jim

Robert Henry George Young was born 19/11/1897 in Southampton. Galdys we are somewhat having a debate I belive the name is Patterson & that she was born 1897 in Cardiff. I hope that this helps. Tracey

that establishes that there is little point in looking earlier than 1913 - if they were born say 1880's they could have been married 10 years before producing Could it have been her second marriage? I have just found out that they both met in Bristol where Robert was stationed. However, I do not know what regiment etc etc. Not sure if this will help. Tracey
