Reg, The death you found of George aged 34 could be mine as i do not have him in 1901, and he would be of been aged around 35 in 1901, This Rowles family, i have just been concentrating on one family member and now i'm starting on the others! like George!!! so that info is appreciated! Hi Allison, If the George Reg has found is your George he didn't marry Jessie Pollitt!!! That couple were married by 1881 census and were also together in 1891 Regards Fiona.

The baptism of Martha is clearly one child of the marriage of George and Jessie....but not your George. As indicated above he is single in 1891............... Reg

yeah, thats my George in 1881, which is why i think they married after the 1881 census as she is not there with him in 1881.

Thanks Fiona and Reg! First of all, the marriage you found Reg, is the one i have got aswell. I have my George Rowles in 1881 living with his family in 1881, then he and Jessie married in 1881, must have been after the census was taken, the i have a baptism record for a Martha Jane Rowles born in 1885 in manchester, parents are George and Jessie Rowles, then i have found a death for Martha Jane Rowles in june 1888, martha aged 2 years, but then my George then appears on the 1891 census with his family again, but no Jessie! so i was just wondering where she was!! maybe they went there seperate ways after the death of Martha? or maybe my George didn't marry at all and this George and Jessie are not in my family at all!! ***My George Rowles was born around 1864, in manchester**** I think i need to order a cert!! Her maiden name is Pollitt. Not sure where she was born! sorry!! but i would imagine it to be Manchester area. ......just found a jessie pollitt on 1881 born in cheshire in 1873...so that could be her, and then moved to manchester.?

Hello, could somebody please look up a Jessie Rowles in 1891, i think she would be aged around 25 years, i'm not sure who she is living with! she might be down as being married but is not living with her husband! and i would hope she is living in the Manchester area!
