The system does not indicate whether any message has been delivered..........it really is just a case of hoping that it gets through. As already stated, people may be on holiday, or only use GR very occasionally. They may also be ill, or they may have been among those who left the site en masse a few weeks ago. I sent someone a message nearly a month ago about some info I have on thier ancester and had a message back earlier in the week to say he was on holidays and would be greatful for the info when he get's home later this month - So hang in there a while some may be on holidays or like one of my cousins just pop in occationally.

Hi Catherine, Did you open your tree to them when you contacted them?? Did you give them the names and d.o.b. etc of the people you have in your tree. Also some people are in different countries therefore they are in a different time zone to us in the UK. Best to wait and see what happens if you send them all a pm. Betty

just put same message on general and no answer so try on here and if same i give up. cut a long story short new to this but got excited wen found 4 ppl with whom i think has my relatives in their tree .sent all 4 an e mail to ask 4 info an vica with no reply from any .how does this work?mite they not even be members now? how do you know if they have received your mail? thanks cathy x
