birth look up please, durham

could anyone please look up a birth for me, the details are as follows: william crampton jan/feb/mar qtr 1931 mothers maiden name Ferry, born in durham. i have looked on ancestry but the jan qtr for that year is missing! if any one can help that would be brilliant! thanks jenny |

thank you both! i was not certain about date but now i can look elsewhere, i thought my mother only had 7 brothers and sisters and now william has just cropped up! and the only starting place i had was that there mother died in jan qtr 1931 during childbirth, so thought he might of been the child she was having! thanks to you both jenny x |

There's no child with mothers maiden name Ferry in Mar 1931. Perhaps it was stillborn and caused complications. There's also the possibility that she didn't actually died IN childbirth, but FROM childbirth - ie up to 1 year after the birth. |

could one of you possibly check the dec qtr 1929 and the jan qtr 1930 for me please???? the youngest child i have was born in 1928 and the mother died 1931, so he must be there somewhere? thanks jenny |

william was defientley not a still born as have poss pic of him with his father however no one in family seems to know much about him! |

Got all excited cos I found a William in 1930, but he's not yours I'm afraid. No Ferry children in either of those quarters. |

thanks tracy, i tried another avenue, my grandfather remarried in dec qtr of 1933 so i looked for william garnham(his 2nd wifes surname) and found a possible in july qtr of 1933! although birth was in ipswich, i am thinking maybe she went away to have the baby as they were not married?? please tell me if you think this is way off! jenny x and yes reg i am aware of the free bmd on ancestry however some qtrs are missing! x |
