Hi Reg. Found nothing on ancestry. Just found 1918 JFM Halstead 4a 1164 on 1837.com. Why can i not find it on ancestry so i can double check? Not sure if it does say Halstead and 1164 could be 11b4 xxx

To clarify one point ........the page number does not include alpha characters, so is certainly 1164. Halstead seems fine for the registration district. Have you accessed the full records on Ancestry? Or merely the freebmd transcripts? Reg

Mothers maiden name is Turner, so I'd says his mother was unmarried at the time.

How strange this gets! Can i explain? Louisa Burge married Thomas hughes 1901.Had a son william. In 1962 she was known to the family as granny Turner. William had a brother called victor turner! so we presumed she re married a turner and had victor. But if victors mothers maiden name was turner this doesn't fit the picture! Has anybody have any ideas? Many thanks xxx
