Hi, If anyone could help would be very grateful. Looking for any census records for a Sarah Ann Powell born in PICKERING North Yorkshire England, 1837. She should have two children Frank and George but may not have declaird them! She also might be down as living with a Francis Grainger - again might still be living with her ex! Any help appreciated. Was Powell her surname at birth? If not, what was it, and when did it change? When were the children born? And where? Have you looked for her in 1881? It is completely free on www.familysearch.org Reg |

Hi thanks for your help - she was born a Sellers. Her children were George 1860 and Francis 1862. Regards |

Her father was called Francis b 1800c and we think this is hr 2nd marraige Marriages Sep 1863 Grainger Francis York 9d 67 Powell Sarah York 9d 67 but no joy on the 1st marriage.... |

I can't see any of them on any census. Where did you get her maiden name? Was it from a child's birth cert? Where did you learn about her father's name and birth year? Reg |
