I purchased the British Vital Record Index, Margaret, and I have to say I was very disappointed. I couldn't find any of my family members on it. It contains different records than what is on the Familysearch site. The only success I had with it was in doing a lookup for someone else. (Isn't that always the way?) In this case it was a marriage record which told us that both the bride and groom had been previously married. That was a great help. If you'd like to post some names I could check to see if they're in the records before you make the purchase. Another Margaret |
