Susan I have checked the full index on Ancestry and you have the correct number for John Gibson & Hannah Mchugh 7b-151, have you ordered it from the GRO or the local registry office in Mansfield because the number you found is only for the GRO? Georgina.

Hi Is there anyone out there that can help me please. I have my Grandmothers birth certificate, her name is Mildred Ann Gibson born 6th May 1912 in Mansfield Nottinghamshire to John Gibson (a colliery hewer) and Hannah Gibson (nee McHugh). I thought i had found their marriage certificate, listed as 1907 Quarter Jan-Feb-Mar Mansfield Nottinghamshire volume 7b page 151 so i applied for the certificate but was told that this wasn't the right one by the records office. I can't find any other records for a john gibson and hannah mchugh that match and cant see any way for solving this. My grandmother had a sister named Mary and a brother named Jim Any help would be greatly appreciated Regards Sue
