It might be possible that her name was Sarah Annie?? Marriage from Staffordshire BMD. Staffordshire Marriage indexes for the years: 1884 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference LYNCH Thomas COATES Sarah A. Civil Marriage (Tamworth) Lichfield ROT/3/191 Marriage certificate will give you Thomas' fathers name to help narrow his birth down. |

Have just looked up the family on the 1891 census.Are you aware that Annie looks as if she was Thomas' second wife. In 1891 he was living at 2 Kings St Tamworth with wife Sarah 27, who was born in Lichfield and children John, Maggie 4, Annie 2 Thomas 1. He married Sarah Ann Coates in Tamworth in 1884. Baby Thomas who was born in 1890 died in 1891 in Tamworth. |

I have looked up the family on the 1901 census and they are as follows: Thomas Lynch 39, b.Ireland Annie Lynch 38 b. Litchfield, children George 11, Amy 6, Annie 12, John 16, Albert 3, Robert 1. They were living at 2 Kings St Tamworth. This narrowed down the birth date for Thomas to 1862 so checked on the IGS site and there were two that fit this birth year. A Thomas Lynch was born on 13/9/1862 in Askeaton, Co. Limerick to parents Thomas Lynch and Mary McDonnell. Another Thomas Lynch was born on 13/12/1862 in Kiltoom, Co.Roscommon to James Lynch and Mary Donnelly. Which one was yours? I have looked on the 1901 census for Roscommon to see if that Thomas was still in Roscommon then but he does not show up on that census. Unfortunately unable to check on Limerick. This at least narrows it to these 2 possibles. |
