I have an address in Cowdenbeath 1914-1915, where can I look to find any information on the owner, tenants etc. The address is 89 Stenhouse Street Cowdenbeath, Fife Scotland, In anticipation George Bell.... |

George, I would guess the best place to look would be at the records office or library for that area, and try the electoral roll and any street directories that they have. Not everybody had the vote in those days, though, so the electoral roll will not be as useful as it is for more recent times. Worth a try, though. Kate. |

I don't know how Scotland works, but in England you could look at Electoral Registers for the date you are interested in (which are kept at the nearest large library to the address) and find out the names of those people at the address who were old enough and eligible to vote. Kath. x p.s. you have posted this thread twice. I would delete the other one if I were you, as people might duplicate replies. |
