Looking for a Margaret Mann on 1901, she appears on 1891 census with husband William Mann and daughter Mary J Mann, living with family by the name of Cavanagh, in Gateshead I know William is dead by 1901 as when Mary J married in 1900 he was deceased, dont know if they had any more children. Dawn, Margaret senior could have remarried (or even died) by 1901, so we need more information, such as when and where she was born, to start looking for her! If you can post up all the information you have from the 1891 census it would help a lot. Kate. |

Dawn The 1891 census says Margaret was Irish. This could be her in 1901- Catherine Bennett abt 1870 Gateshead, Durham, Wife George Bennett abt 1861 Snodland, Kent, Head Mary Jane Bennett abt 1894 Gateshead, Durham, Daughter Sarah Ann Bennett abt 1900 Gateshead, Durham, Daughter Margaret Mann abt 1838 Dublin, Ireland, Mother-in-law All living at 61 Mansfield St, Gateshead. All I know about Margaret is she was Married to Will, and they had a daughter (my grt grandmother Mary J, and that Will and Mary were Visitors on the 1891 census, there surname was Mann, When Mary J married my grt grandfather Arthur Tomlinson in 1900 Will was put down as deceased, I haven't been able to find a death for Will or Margaret, both the Tomlinson and Mann family have been so hard to find any real info on |
