help with woking surrey prison

Hi Carol, Woking Prison also known as Knaphill Prison was opened in 1860, I obviously do not know if this is the prison your relative was in, if you contact Buckinghamshire County council, they might be able to help with archives. Archives 01296 382250 If you can find his death certificate it will tell you what prison he died in. My gg grandfather also died in prison, and when we received his cert. it stated the prison. Also they would have been an inquest. Hope this helps. Regards Vera |

could someone help me please just found out that some one in my tree died in prison in 1875 and buried they but can not find out where it is all I know is it is in woking surrey can someone help me and I will say thank you now for any help you may give carol |
