Thanks Diane, I was just living in hope that maybe something would tell me where in Monaghan Thomas Collins 1841 was born, tried everything but Monaghan is a big place and if you don't know which part of Monaghan they were born in, you are lost. Betty |

1. My hubbys great grandfather Thomas Collins was born in Monaghan Ireland in 1841, he married a Mary Ann Duffy in 1866 (10a 486) in Durham England. They had several children and I have the family in all the various census from 1871 to 1901. 2. One was his son's Thomas Collins born 1885 Blackhill, Durham, Benfieldside (my hubby's grantfather). I also have his marriage in 1915 at Ann Erly. Now neither the marriage certificates of both Thomas (No1) 1866 or the marriage certificate of Thomas (No2) 1915 say where in Ireland the father was born. Would the birth certificate of Thomas Collins (No.2) say where in Monaghan his father was born and if so can someone please search the birth reference for me to order the certificate. Betty |
