Hi Eastender yes you could be right, I suppose it is possible she was married before, but I can't be sure, some more investigating is called for!! Cheers Michelle:)

looking back over it the marriage to WM. Champion would have put her aboput 10yrs old if the first ones birth is to be beleaved so that cant be right but the names are all so connected, they have to be related somehow i would think, but im no expert, i could be way out in the field somewhere, maybe someone more knowledgeable than me will be able to figure it out, but i do think you should take alook at the site. Pam

Hi Eastender, Definetly John Rendle born 1764, Christian Clark was suggested by another party, I know for sure her first name was Christian, maybe they have the surname wrong? a sum of money was left in a will to his daughter also named Christian. your information is very helpful I will take a look. ok michelle have just found this Christian Clark marrige to WM.Champion 31st mar 1782 in the same area has above could your Christian have been married befor the marriage to John Rendle, the frst one of Campion was put in by a member of the LDS church so the spelling could be wrong, has they are not always accurate.

Michelle, found this on the I.G.I on familysearch.org, i think you might want to give that site a look. John Rendle, birth about 1768 of,Chittlehampton,Devon,England marriage 1793 Christian Campion Birth about 1772,of Chittlehampton, Devon, are you sure you have the right last name pam

Doe's anyone have access to Devon Parish records who could look up a marriage for John Rendle & Christian Clark, the marriage would have been between 1780 - 1800, I afraid I don't know which parish precisely it was in, and could only hazard a guess. I would be very grateful for any help. Regards Michelle
