Hi, I believe some of my ancestors were buried in Stockport Cemetary, Cheshire. I want to look for their graves and assume there must be a map of where the graves are as there are a lot there! I've never been to a cemetary where I didn't already know the location of the grave, so does anyone know where I can get a map of them?

If it's a large cemetery then it should have an office where you will be able to get details of the plot numbers. If not then get in touch with Stockport Council and ask for the cemeteries department. They should be able to tell you what you want to know or point you in the right direction. Kath. x

Hi! It might also be worth your while taking a look at this website - www.norburypc*org*uk (replace * with .). This lists burials from St Thomas Parish Church in Stockport and also gives a lot of the inscriptions. It's certainly worth a browse if you have rellies from the Stockport area. Kate
