I'm afraid you can't get a certificate as Civil Registration did not start until 1855. However, if you search the indexed Old Parish Registers on the Scotlands People website you might find the person you are after and it would then be possible to pay for an extract: http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ You will probably have to pay £6 to buy search credits which you could also use to search for others. There's lots of historical notes and guidance on that site and you should have a look at these before spending all your credits. Denis. |

Check the IGI (www.familysearch.org) first before spending money on ScotlandsPeople. The IGI have a lot of the old Scottish registers transcribed, and their website is free. I checked for you, and Comrie has been transcribed. For the period you want, the IGI batch number is: C113415. If you find what you want, you can then order the microfilm of the original register at an LDS family history centre. Works out a lot cheaper than buying an extract from ScotlandsPeople!! Richard |
