Olive Knox was born on 01/07/1916 in staffordshire. Her mother rose knox and she had Olive at 16. We dont know who olives father is and i was hopeing someone might look for her birth certificate and see if her fathers name is stated. |

The only way to see the cert is to buy it.........it will cost you £7.00 This is the info you need....... Knox Olive, MMN Knox Stoke T 6b/448 JAS 1916 However, as the mother was unmarried, the father is very unlikely to be named. Reg |

Tom, as Reggie said, it is unlikely that the father will be named on the birth certificate, because the mother would not have been allowed to put his name down unless he went with her to register the birth, if they were not married. The birth certificates are not available for members of the public to look at (despite what you may have seen on Who Do You Think You Are?!); you have to order a copy of the certificate for £7.
