In 1841 ages were rounded down to the nearest 5 (usually) for those over 15. So if it says 1801, it could mean anything from 1796-1801. I always use a soundex or a wildcard in my searches. Many names can be missed this way. Your Edwards became Edward in the transcription.

Thanks Willow the wisp, I think it is possible, AS i have been told not to take all info on the census as true . Childrens names are the same. Thanks again Jacqueline

Perhaps if you tell us who you are looking for, and any information that you have from other census, then someone here might have more luck than you. and the area isnt missing from the 1841 I have relatives from around that area. :-)

Hi , Can anyone tellme if the 1841 census ,was carried out in , Llanover Blaenavon Monmouthshire. I cann't find my family or any other record for that area during that time. If any one could find out ,Iwould be most greatful Kind regards Jacqueline.
