hi just been looking for this family on the 1851 census and cant see them. in 1861 i have emma and elizabeth discombe aged 16 and 13 in 51 with mother ann and stepfather john connor. the girls father was james discombe, obviously dead? can anyone see them in 51 regards lou |

Zoe, I saw that, but initially discounted as Elizabeth is not with them, but could be right. St Helier is of course Jersey. |

i did see that entry but i dont recognise any of the other discombes (not that i know them!) she does have a sister elizabeth that would have been 3, cant find her at all. I know fromseeing elizabeths birth certificate a while ago, her parents are ann cole and james discombe. i have them in 61 minus james as ann is now remarried and is downa s the girls step father. think james was a figmant of her imagination as i cant see sight nor sign of him. so im doubtful that is the right entry. lou |

i cant remember! the truth of it is my mum started doing this before she became ill and she has the certificates. I know for definate we have elizabeths marriage cert, will ring her tomorrow-too late now. thanks for helping me lou |
