vera the 51 image has been transcribed as foy but in 41 its fox. (there again the foleys were transcribed as jolly in 41!)

Hi Lou, Regarding Elizabeths maiden name....on the 1851 census mother in law.......it looks to me like Fox.......at first I thought it might be Foy. You have obviously seen this as you said you were unsure of her maiden name. RegardS Vera

hi all was just wondering if someone would have a look at this for me? richard foley and his wife elizabeth (unsure of maiden name) had 4 children that i know of. richard junior in 1838, sarah jane 1840.elizabeth in 1842 and fred in 1844. (fred is mygg grandfather) i have them as a family on the 41 and 51 census, on the 61 richard is missing obviously left home and in 71 i have fred with his wife, i have freds younger sister, elizabeth married to john lewis and im 100% certain that is her as on a later census her mother is living there. however from 71 onwards im not sure about richard (junior) and sarah. I found marriages on bmd for both but on closer inspection im not sure i have the right people. (this isnt desperate as its a side line but id like to know!) any help would be greatful lou
