Depending on what year you are talking about, some of the records are held at Staffordshire Records Office. If you check the National Archives site, it tells you exactly what they hold: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/hospitalrecords/details.asp?id=495&hospital=st+george%27s&town=stafford&searchdatabase.x=41&searchdatabase.y=4 Sam x |

If you google St Georges you will find it is a derelict grade II building. You will need to contact the health dept of Stafford to ask where all the records are kept , sometimes they are in the archives at Kew. |

Hi Does anyone know if you can access old medical records of a relative, that spent a long time in a metal hospital. I have looked on the web for St Georges, but had no luck on who to contact regarding relatives. Many thanks Pam |
