I am just starting nout on the Family Tree trail and would appreciate some help getting started. My Mothers Maiden name is Crockford. Most of her family live in portsmouth Hampshire England. Her fathers name was Richard Sydney Crockford i know that my Nan was his second wife and between them they have 13 children. Can anyone give me some tips on where to start. Thanks Andrea Smith |

When was Richard born? His birth cert will tell you the full names of both of his parents. With that info, you can look for their marriage, and from the cert learn the names of their respective fathers. Depending on time-scale, you might find them on 1901 census.............. Reg |
