Could I have a 1901 look up for Benjamin Wood born 1856 in Holbeck, Yorkshire please? Think Holbeck is part of Hunslett. Earlier occupations have been potter and bricklayer. Its possible (but not definate) he may have had his widdowed mther living with him IF she was still alive. She was Harriet Wood born 1825 in Knottingley, Yorks. I'd love to know if Ben had a family of his own; his brother is my direct ancestor. Many thanks.

I think that could be my Harriet tho. Wonder why her family left her in the workhouse, when she could have lived with them. On the 1891 she was with her 2 sons.

It's not easy when you have a failry common surname, especially when the change places of birth and move about (and change jobs!!) Hope you figure it out :)

I can rule that one out then, as Ive got him on the 1891 with mother and brother. He was a bachelor.
