census look up please

Hi all please could some body have a look at the 1841+51 census for a william peache born abt 1820 in the greenwich/deptford area. his parents are george peache and elizabeth both abt 1790 as all the other peache family i have are from there. i have a number of peache i have found but not sure which brother they belong to hence the look up. many thanks to any body who tries to help me steve |

Can you post a census where you have george & Elizabeth or William please? I can't see a william at the moment on 1861 for ref. |

sorry no i cant remember were i got that info about them all i know is that they had 4 kids george abt1816 elizabeth abt 1817 william abt 1820 and another elizabeth abt 1822 i am thinking the 1st elizabeth died |

george abt 1816 married an emma abt 1821 they had 4 kids from 1839 - 1855 i have 4 other kids i think must be williams abt 1820 from 1838 - 1852 |

You're not wasting my time :)) I just need to have a concrete base to work from, which is why I keep asking questions. Right - so what are the names and years of birth of the other children you've found that you think are William's? And a census you have found any of them on please. |

ok there is an edward george abt 1838 lucy 1840 thomas 1846 and john 1852 all born in the greenwich area i found them looking on freebmd is this of any help? sorry i am still new to this |

Reg - not an intrusion at all :)) Just struggling to find a peg to hang the starting hat on !! Not the easiest of surnames to search as so many possible variations/mistranscriptions I've only found the george & emma on 1851 HO107; Piece: 1584; Folio: 738; Page: 51 but not found a satisfactory tie in on 1841 other than HO107/691/1 f41 p31 which I think a bit iffy at moment. |

From Stephen's posting, there is nothing to suggest that the children whose names he quotes are directly related to each other..........he seems to have just picked out names etc from the birth reg info. Having said that, the only one not accounted for in 1861 is Edward (1838), and he was probably married by then......... Reg |

hmmm thats interesting reggie all the kids names match like john a the a in mine is alexander lucy ann is mine ive just got plain thomas and the k in peacke may be a typo ? |
