iam looking for the wife and family of richard booth born 1837 in selby i have found him in 1881 living in kippax birthplace stated as kippax his wife is hannah found a marraige to suppurt this but the marriage took place in castleford in 1867 .on the 1881 census there eldest daughter was born in 1864 which make me think hannah is his second wife could anyone help me to find his first wife ? thanks to anyone that can help angie

the marriage i found was richard booth -hannah farrar 1867 castleford 2nd qtr so i have the correct marraige but looks like mary was either born out of wedlock or is hannahs child

Just had a look at the 1861 image for Richard Booth that I posted. Ann is head and a widow. Henry age 77 is a visitor. Samuel Johnson is a servant.

i have found ellen marrying-thomas fawcett-ledsham william-elizabeth askam -ledsham james -mary tasker pontefract daniel (my 2x greatgrand father) maria alsop wakefield have not come up with anything as yet for mary or elizabeth

Angela - yes, Ledsham is in Castleford registration district.

my geography is terrible but i know no that ledstone (ledsham )are one of the same in the pontefract area best thing about it i only live 9 mile down the road in wakefield
