I have a Jessie Marion Riley Paulston born January 1880 in Greenwich to Father Edwin Paulston and Mother Jane nee Bennett. the mothers sister-in-law registered the birth (Henrietta Bennett nee Pike) I think the mother died shortly after the birth. I have Ancestry and have found the following: I have Jessie on the 1901 but not on the 1881 or 1891. I have her father in 1881 Wandsworth prison, 1891 Greenwich workhouse and her siblings Edward 1868, William 1871, Jane 1875, George 1876 and Eliza 1879 in various workhouses, institutions, refuges and working as a servant until 1901. The Paulsons of Bennett Street are also believed to be related as they lived a door down from where Henrietta Bennett lived (Yes, Bennetts in Bennett Street) They are down as Paulston, Paulstone, Paulson etc and I've even checked for paulston as first name as I've seen institutions indexed the wrong way round. This woman is driving me mad and she isn't even my direct line, she married my Grandmother's brother but I'd really like to find her for her brother's granddaughter in Aus. |

I've found the father Edwin as Poulton in 1841 with parents and siblings. (Ho107/694 bk9 folio 12 pg 17) |
