Judith, can you tell us how you know when and where she got married, please? Usually if you have a definite place and year for a marriage, you would have the bride's full name as well... Kate.

Oh no, don't tell me, I just looked on the IGI and it is a 'submitted' entry by a member of the LDS church. I'm sorry, but since it doesn't give Martha's maiden name nor the exact date of the marriage, you can be sure that all the information on there is just guesswork. I'll dig around a bit and see if I can find anything more concrete... Kate.

Okay, there are loads of baptisms for children on the IGI at Ludlow, parents Edward Eccleston and Martha, and at least some of them are 'extracted' records rather than 'submitted', for example Maria baptised 18 Mar 1820. She is the oldest 'extracted' one, with Edward jr born Nov 1818 and died 1819 just 'submitted' with no baptism details for him that I can see. According to Hugh Wallis, the IGI includes Ludlow baptisms from 1813 onwards, and marriages from 1812 onwards, though of course there could be some missing. Kate.
