Hello Ian. Hope I haven't missed your visit to the record office. I am trying to find the birth registration of my G/Father. He was born 1891. Name Francis ( or Frank ) George Allen Collins. The 1891 census records him and his parents living at Kemeys St. Hackney. Francis is shown as 3mths, and b: Epping. His parents were Henry George Collins and Jessie Marion Allen. So far I have had no luck finding the record at Hackney. Hope you can help. Very best wishes........... Lyn

Hi Ian Thanks for your offer. If you have time could you please look up a marriage: Giles MEAD to Elizabeth STEBBING in Newport, Essex in 1815 (sorry don't have exact date). I'm trying to determine if this is 'my' Giles who actually originated in Somerset but who served in the army around this time. Thank you. Jenny

Hi Ian Kind offer - I have one marriage I would like looking up - I know the date I just want to know what other details there are to the marriage. Like if either of them had been married before and names of witnesses etc. The details are Jacob Pilley married Charlotte Horsnell on 16th February 1834 in Chelmsford. I'm not sure what church they married in - I believe they were non-conformists and so on a hunch I would say first search the Congregational, Baddow Road. Then if that doesn't have them up to try St. John the Evangelist. Anglican - which was in Moulsham. If not then try Congregational, London Road or Primitive Methodist, Circuit or Wesleyan Methodist, High Street or Wesleyan Methodist, Springfield Lane or Wesleyan Methodist, Circuit. Fingers crossed it is the first one - I think Jacob was christened in the one on Baddow Road so I think he may have married there - the one in Moulsham I have included as at times the family are living in that area. Thanks so much! Alex
