1841 Robert Brook* 3 possibles, don't know suffolk very well, any near Rougham? 1 Robert Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Great Barton 2 Robert Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Hadleigh 3 Robert Brooks abt 1816 Suffolk, England Wyverstone 1. Looks a good match, but no William? It doesn't give relationships so RObert could possibly be a cousin. Occupation of James & Robert is Brickmaker. James Brooks abt 1786 Suffolk, England Great Barton (BRICKMAKER) Maria Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Great Barton (COULD BE A WITNESS?) Phebe Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Great Barton Rachel Brooks abt 1786 Suffolk, England Great Barton Robert Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Great Barton (BRICKMAKER) Address is Barton something? More / Mare?? Can't quite tell. Maybe Robert is an apprentice to his Uncle? 2. John Brooks abt 1781 Suffolk, England Hadleigh (BRICKLAYER) John Brooks abt 1816 Suffolk, England Hadleigh (BRICKLAYER) Lucy Brooks abt 1781 Suffolk, England Hadleigh Robert Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Hadleigh (NO OCC LISTED) Abram Holder abt 1801 Suffolk, England Hadleigh Ann Holder abt 1811 Suffolk, England Hadleigh Esther Holder abt 1832 Hadleigh Address is the Bessels/Vessels. 3. Farmers Jane Brooks abt 1821 Suffolk, England Wyverstone John Brooks abt 1838 Suffolk, England Wyverstone Robert Brooks abt 1816 Suffolk, England Wyverstone James Percy abt 1826 Suffolk, England Wyverstone Hang on for the others, I'm updating them as I find them on the images.

Could say carpenter and mean wheelwright I guess, Here is a description of what a wheelwright is: The wheelwright was a craftsman who possessed great knowledge of the properties of timber and whose workmanship was extremely accurate. Wagon construction was a lengthy process, six months not uncommon. Various woods were used for different parts of the wagon, all having been seasoned for many years before construction ever began. Towards the end of the 19th century, the country wheelwright found himself in competition with factory made wagons. Few wheelwrights remain at work today, a result of the demise of horse power, and those still practising often supplement their earnings with wider carpentry work.

Mags.. The 1841 for Borley - I believe is the right one. It's just a same there is no wife.( and no children born after 1837! ) Brooks is a bit more complicated. It's a pity that Robert doesn't seem to be at home with his father ( but then that would be too easy ) so I'll have to look into the Robert you found although it looks hopeful. The 2 William Brooks that you found are mine ( I hope )...it's the fact that ' Margeretta Brooks ' is listed...It's quite unusual and I'm 95% sure I've seen her before ( I'm going to check some paperwork later ). I'm just a bit confused as to 'who's who' - so to speak !....Do I have Roberts father and grandfather and therefore another generation !! All this information is brillient and I really appreciate your help. I will now go over all the information sort it all out. Thank you Esta x
