The person listed on 1901 site is nowhere to be seen on Ancestry...........the only solution I can see is for you to get some units for the PRO site and view the census image on there. If anyone else can suggest another way................. Reg

Hi Reg, Did you have any luck with the 1901 census record or even 1891 for that matter? Sorry to be a pain but I find it strange don't you? Thanks, Kath

Have found an Amy H. Bailey living in Baddeley Edge, Norton on 1881 census. Father Samuel and Mother Feby. Amy was 6 then so would have been about 26 on 1901 census. Thanks, Kath

Kath We were obviously typing at the same time............. Now, I've looked on the PRO site..........there is one Amy Forrester on there born 1874 in Staffs, living in Wolverhampton............but I can't see her on Ancestry, even with just putting in her first name and age............very strange. So, how do you know he married Amy Bailey? Do you have the cert? This is the page on which his marriage is recorded.............. Amy Bailey 1895 Apr-May-Jun Leek Staffordshire View Record Robert Edwin Forrester 1895 Apr-May-Jun Leek Staffordshire View Record James Anderson Miller 1895 Apr-May-Jun Leek Staffordshire View Record Alice Rhead 1895 Apr-May-Jun Leek Staffordshire Do you have Emily's birth cert? If not, how do you know the names of her parents? If you could clarify, there might be more chance of finding her........and them. Reg

1901 does not show any results for Robert Forrester with spouse Amy Reg

ErikaH Report 4 Sep 2006 16:24

As you know all the details of her parentage, presumably you have the birth cert...........what is the father's occupation? Reg
