Find Ancestors

Look up please..... Thomas Draper & Ann Lucas. I am assuming following details as I can't find anything on them so here we go. Thomas Draper born c1838? Ann Lucas c1838? Ann born at Barnard Castle Durham. Thomas & Ann had a daughter Ann c1858 I don't know if they had any other children. PLEASE HELP I'M STUCK........ They seem to have appeared from nowhere...

I have recieved this info from family docs, family bible. But can't find anything else???

Can´t see any Lucas / Draper marriages in the 1850`s. Cannot see Ann Draper b c 1858 with mother Ann and father Thomas on the census !

The only information I have is from the daughter Ann forward. Ann was born (possibly Yorkshire - found this on the 1881 census) c1858 and married James Gifford in 1877. They immigrated to Australia in 1888. These are my Ggrandparents.

so this is the marriage Marriages Dec 1877 DRAPER Ann Tynemouth 10b 344 Gifford James Tynemouth 10b 344 do you have the marriage certificate which would show fathers names and occupation - might help to trace them back in the census.

James was born to George and Susan. I have him 2 generations back so far. Ann is a hard one.

Don't take this amiss, but............ how do you know the names of his parents if you don't have the marriage cert? Reg

This may be a spanner in the works. There is an Ann Embleton Lucas born south shield 1859. Julie

I have their names in the family bible and they also match details from censuses that I have found. From this I am assuming this is correct. They have also used the mothers maiden name in the childrens names.

James was born 3/10/1852 Landbeach.

Ann embleton lucas is still with mother on the 81, so that one is not her?

All of James's siblings were born in Cottenham.

Thanks for all your help so far everyone. I was avoiding getting certs as I haven't had much luck with them so far and is quite exy. But I think in this case it is probably unavoidable.
