Hello Laura. I see theres a William Bragg 32 married visiting her on 71 census,wonder if he could be her brother as she hadnt been widowed long then,maybe her maiden name was Bragg.I have Bragg from Hull in my tree

I know I wont get the birth on there, was trying to match a marriage if possible. As far as I know, she had first son in 1854 Hull, she was a widdower from Crawforth by 1871 and was married by 1891 to henry Bridge, he was dead by 1901. Thanks for your help, Laura x

Laura The reason you cant find her birth is because it was before civil registration started in 1837. You will have to look at baptisms on Parish registers - try familysearch for a start. OC

Hi Jess, I have a Martha Crawforth born 1834 Hull, she remarried and became Bridge. I'm trying to find her maiden name. Have tried census and bmd on ancestry but cant spot her. Any suggestions? Laura x
