What info are you looking for? What was the name and occupation of his father? That info will help if you hope to locate him on censuses. Reg

Lillian you need to get the marriage certificate & see who George's father was. On the 1901 census there are 218 George Watsons. This looks like Martha in 1901... Hi Lillian, Not sure what information you are after. On the National Archive site...documents online . There is a George Watson ....medal card, he was in the two regiments you describe. To actual download a copy of the medal card costs £3.50 Hope this helps. Regards Vera

PM rec'd.........posting here for info Hello Reggie, I am looking for his place of birth, His father was George Watson and he was a Wire Cleaner thats all the Information I have . No knowledge of any siblings Have all information on his wife Martha. Reg

I've looked at the official 1901........there are 124 George Watsons aged 18 - 20. There is no result for George Watson Wire Cleaner on there.........ditto for the 1881 on Ancestry Reg

The only other possible clue I can think of is the names of the witnesses on the marriage certificate? Any of them a Watson? Kate.

thank you all for taking time to try and help, George snr was a wire cleaner whatever that was My George was 32 when he went in the army in 1914. His witnesses at his wedding where George Bond and Frances Ellen Bond believed to be Sister and Brother-in Law of his wife Martha.i have a copy of his meddle card but its not very clear Lillian

Hello Reggie, Well I knew she married William Martin in 1896 and that he had died young there was a daughter Sarah E Martin aged two on the 1901 census living with her grandperents, Then she married George A Bond in 1900 Thanks reggie Lillian
