Alice has a sister Agnes Sarah (ELMES) b 1851 and a sister Emily b 1845 so Agnes Elm could be one of those - adding 5 years to her age?? At least you have Alice in 71 though, for which I thank you Peter Peter

You have the right family going back - Sarah Elmes (1829) was b Sarah Jagger. Jane Jagger 1834 is her sister, not daughter. Augustus is a printer according to BC (although printer and painter only differ by one letter) Peter

Does not say sister though. Was your Augustus a landscape painter as there is an Augustus married to an Ann in 1851/1861 census. Perhaps Ann died and then Augustus married Alice Elmes before Agnes was born 1869. Irene

Agnes Beatrice Deacon b 1869 in Wandsworth to Augustus Deacon and Alice Deacon nee Elmes. In 1871 (as Beatrice Deacon) she is with her Grandmother Sarah in Chelsea. I can't find a marriage for alice and Augustus I can't find Alice and/or Augustus in 1871, 1881 or 1891 I can't find a likely birth for Augustus I can't find deaths for either Alice or Augustus I need ideas!!
