1901 census lookup please.....Ive tried searching but havent got access at the moment.... Im looking for Minnie Cox brn abt 1870 in Somerset. She is on the 1891 census with her parents Charles and Martha but I dont seem to have the 1901 England Cenus. Can anyone help please as I dont have access for a while...cheers Lisa xx 1901 Wales census her brother Albert was living in Swansea with Wife and Children. I dont know if the rest of the family moved down as well

thanks thats the correct family in 1891. In 1901 Wales census I have Albert living in Swansea with family 1901 England I have Martha, Charles and son George living in England but im now looking for the rest..

I did find that Minnie was baptised on 17th April 1870 this was on the Clevedon Civic Soceity parish records.....thanks for taking the time to look for me youve been really helpful...LIsa xx

The information I have given to you is the reference details of the census - using this information you can view the census page on a site such as Ancestry. Ancestry, however is a subscription site - do you subscribe to it? The marriage reference I have given you is a POSSIBLE marriage for Minnie Cox (marrying a Henry Bessant) The reason that this might be the right one is that in 1901 (on the census) we can see that there is a Minnie Bessant with the same birth year and place as your Minnie Cox. (However, Minnies name has been mistranscribed as Bersani- rather than Bessant). If you want to follow this up you could order the marriage certificate for Minnie, stating that you only want the certificate if her father´s name is Charles. If you do this (called a reference checking point) then if it is the right one you will be sent the certificate, BUT if the father is not Charles then you will not be sent the certificate but will receive a partial refund. Cost of certificate is seven pounds and can be ordered from http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ Hope this helps - if not put another message on the board and we will try to help further.

I don´t think the one Jess has just found is the right person - am sure we were on the right lines before - but as I said the Minnie Cox /Henry Bessant 1899 marriage is only a POSSIBLE- you wont know until you order the marriage certificate (with father´s name as checking reference) Hope Jess agrees with me !!??
