me again i was contemplating whether or not to order the birth cert of john to establish his parents etc do you know whether id need to order full cert to get these details or would just the standard one have them aswell? yes im afraid im still quite naive really in that respect i have been tracing my tree for about a year now and i get back further with certain names but not with others i get so exasperated when you find people that seem to getright back to 1500s etc and heres me stuck at 1858 !!!??? when i do find census details etc i try to cross reference everything thoroughly so that i am 100%sure that details are correct before adding to my tree .

hi yes i think the fletton sounds okay but i have had the details of the workhouse john blackham with unmarried sarah before but i have his marriage cert and that says that his fathers name was john blackham so his mother must have been married !! have you any results from overseas as he may have been taken there when younger ?am i correct in thinking that there were two john blackhams in workhouse ?sorry vera just realised you meant 1861 with sarah and 1871 workhouse

i have a john blackham born 1858 his father was also john blackham is it possible to also include any overseas records? incase his family emigrated ? the john blackham b 1858 was born in peterborough so could be listed as huntingdonshire, lincolnshire, cambridgeshire as i think the county names change i have details for him on 1891 and 1901 but have had problems locating him before then .in 1882 he married an agnes levina rimes in market harborough leicestershire and on the marriage cert he lived at great bowden leicestershire .i have a family bible with inscription by him dated newborough 1876 .according to 1891 and 1901 census he was a master blacksmith .also on the marriage cert he says his father john blackham was deceased by 1882 and that the occupation of his father was a fitter his wife agnes levina rimes father william rimes was a blacksmith in censuses i found and on marriage cert she said that her father was also a fitter who also died before 1882 .i have a feeling that both fathers may have worked together maybe even died together .agnes was born in stanground huntingdonshire i hope that someone can help me as it is driving me insane not knowing where john was from 1861 to 1891 .!!!! many thanks in advance michelle stewart nee blackham
