These are the poems Louise (my Daughter used) (1) Even though you're far away, I know in my heart you were with me today (2) On this day, somewhat bittersweet, the thought of you pains my heart. I cannot help but remember the day we seemed destined to part. I know you are looking down us us,watching from above. Yet, how I wish you were here today showing your support, and love. I'm all grown up now, but I still wish you were here by my side. I need you here on the day that I am becoming a bride. However, I cannot change the past. All that's left now are sweet memories. Memories, and thoughts that in my heart will always last. I am moving forward, but I can't help looking back. Thinking of you, and how you did everything in your own special way. Because of you, I have learned to cherish each, and every single day. (3) To my beloved Grandparents: I'm so sad you can't be with me, on this my Wedding Day, But I feel your love around me, and so I want to say That I will always think of you and keep you in my heart. We may not be together, but we're never far apart. (4) Let this be a loving reminder That someone is missing today, Someone our hearts still hold on to, As we travel along life’s way. Someone who made life so special, For all those who gather here, Someone who won’t be forgotten, But cherished from year to year. And now, as we pause to remember, Let us all fondly recall, How dearly each of us loved them, And oh...how they loved us all! (5) Now my wedding day is here, I think of you both, grandparents dear. We were so close all through my life And today I have become a wife. I miss your hugs which banished tears And all your wisdom throughout the years Although in body you’re here no more, Your spiritual presence is to the fore. I feel your love around me still And these flowers I leave for you both, as well As my thanks and love for a life so full Of love and laughter, joy and pain, Eternal sunshine in a shower of rain. We would like to thank everyone who helped with this. Christine

Christine this was on the internet but could be for altered for grandparents.. To Deceased Parents on My Wedding Day Henry Matthew Ward You are here, I know it! Promises are fulfilled! The vision is complete. Death does not separate us in this holy hour. I feel your presence; I see your smile in the eyes of those who now witness for us this begining of new life. I feel your tender love in every hug, in every kiss, in every word of encouragement from those who now enfold us within the canopy of their sheltering love. Know that, though I look forward with eager anticipation to a new life, I am grateful for my heritage. And when I think of you, I will not be embarrassed by tears in my eyes, for they are no longer tears of loneliness and grief, but tears of joy in newfound love and in the remembrance of your lovingkindness that taught me how to love. Now, I have found someone who loves me as much as you did. Now, I have found someone I can love as much as I loved you. Now, we will be shelter, each to the other. And I ask your Blessings upon this love; for this day, in accordance with the Scriptures, I rise up and call you...Blessed. Rest now, in peace, knowing that I, your child, am happy and that your memory will be with me always. May the angels in our midst watch over us until we meet again. Georgina.

Not really family history but I know you are all great People on here and hope someone can help me. My Daughter is getting Married on the 24th of this month and she wants to put her Granny and Grandads Button Holes on their grave with a Poem. I cannot find a suitable poem. She wants it to say how she knows they are with her in spirit but wishes they were there in body or something like that. She was very close to them both and helped me at times care for her Grandad. Hope someone can help Christine
