Hi Listed below are my Gt Grand Parents in 1901 I cannot find them on any other Census. There surname is ATKINS but in 1901 transcribed as ADKINS. I cannot find any marriage for Edwin and Sarah. Edwin is listed as a Coal miner which ties in with his proffesion on my Grans Marriage certificate.Have my Gran Mary's death certifcate in 1928 also found her grave.Her marriage in 1905 to Henry Foden. Hi Reggie Can't find any mention of a second name on her Marriage or Death Certifcate but I suppose its possible. This lot are driving me stupid.Mary died in 1928. My Dad was only 5 so he cannot remember anything about her. My Dads name was William Henry Foden and he always said that he was named after his mothers Brother who got killed in mining accident. but I can't find any William Atkins either doh!!! Anything you can turn up will be gratefully received Cheryl

Hi Susie She died in 1928 and she was aged 48. They are a real mystery!!!!!!. She is buried in Basford Cementary in Nottingham along with her Husband Henry who died 1948 and two of her Children.Ehtel and Evelyn Cheryl

Hi Reggie I have up dated the original message, I keep getting her age and Death year muddled up sorry. According to her death certifcate she died on the 3rd May 1928 aged 47 years at the time of her death she was living at 12 Greek Street Nottingham which is the address on my fathers birth certifcate. On her marriage certifcate which is dated 13th Sept 1905 It says Mary Atkins Spinster aged 24 years father Edwin Atkins Coal miner..Her address at the time of marriage was 5 Newmarket Road Bulwell. Cheryl I can find no Mary Atkins born between 1878 and 1882 in Nottinghamshire. There are a few Mary Atkin, one being the one Reg found: Atkin Mary Edith Nottingham.7b 326 Birth 3 1880 Atkin Mary Nottingham.7b 361 Birth 2 1878 Atkin Mary Louise Nottingham.7b 334 Birth 1 1878 Suzy It might be worth applying for the Mary Edith one with the checking reference of her parents' first names.

Hi Leistershire Lass You are a star!!!!!!!! I've just spent the last hour trying to find Lily Atkins my Grans Sister in 1881 but getting nowhere. Need to find Edwin and Sarah marriage and Edwins birth certifcate to be sure it is the right one. I'm a 99% sure it is though. Saying thankyou doesn't seem to be enough. i have nobody on my Dads side to ask as there was a big family feud when my Dad was 17 he left home and joined the army and never went back to Nottingham.I haven't even got a picture of him before his army days which is really sad.Or my paternal Grandparents.His father died in 1948 just after the war and as I said before his mother when he was only 8.My mother never met her inlaws as they didn't marry till 1953, its such a shame. If you can find them in 1881 I'll be eternally grateful Cheryl
